ESTONIAN IT COLLEGE - TALLINN - about the collegeThe IT College is a private non-profit college for professional higher education. It was established in 2000 by Ministry of Education and Research, University of Tartu, Tallinn University of Technology, AS Eesti Telekom and the Association of Estonian Information Technology and Telecommunications Companies, and is administered by the Estonian Information Technology Foundation. After completing a three-year programme of 120 credit points (180 ECTS) students acquire a diploma in IT Systems Development, IT Systems Administration, Information Systems Analysis or Technical Communication. The qualification corresponds to the Bachelor's degree and is aimed at working in the field of the chosen speciality. The graduates are able to continue their studies at the Master's level. Different programs - full- and part-time, continuous learning program and e-learning courses - offer flexibility in studying. Scholarships and public lectures have been established together with business sector. There are about 370 students studying at the IT College (as of Autumn 2004). The graduates of the IT College are highly-regarded IT specialists both in the public and private sectors. |
