![]() european media standards in vocational education and trainingeumesta is a project financed by the EU Leonardo da Vinci programme. Its intention is to enhance the employability and mobility of people working in the European digital media industry. Media is one of the most dynamic economic sectors in Europe employing millions of people. However, media workers have traditionally experienced difficulty in finding employment outside their national boundaries. This is primarily due to a lack of Europe-wide transparent job-profiling methods and common training standards. The aim of the 30-month eumesta project is therefore to develop pan-European standards for the concept, planning and realisation of vocational education and training in the digital media sector. This includes occupational profiles, curricula development procedures and the transparent documentation of Knowledge, Skills and Competence provided by a VET-programme. These have been developed in line with the European Qualification Framework - EQF, which will be presented for adoption to the EU Commission in 2007. |
